गत सोमबारको प्रेस कनफेरेन्समा मेसीले एकदम ठुलो खुलासा गरेका थिए ।। उनले आफु भन्दा रोनाल्दो सक्षम रहेको बताएका थिए ।।

मेरै प्रदर्शनका कारण नेपाल विश्वकप छनोटको सुपर सिक्समा पुग्न सकेन जस्तो लाग्छ, यसमा म दु:खी छु । प्राविधिक हिसाबमा नेपालका सबैभन्दा निपुण ब्याट्सम्यान मानिएका ज्ञानेन्द्र मल्लका लागि पछिल्लो एक महिनामा भएको विश्व क्रिकेट लिग डिभिजन २ र विश्वकप छनोट बिर्सनलायक बन्यो । आफ्नो प्रदर्शनका हिसाबमै उनी यसलाई सम्झन चाहँदैनन् । नेपालले वान–डे अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय मान्यता पाउँदा टिममा लामो समय योगदान दिँदै आउनुभएका तपाईले यसलाई कसरी लिनुभएको छ ?मुख्य लक्ष्य कसरी टेस्ट मान्यता पाउने भन्ने थियो । त्यहाँसम्म पुग्ने वान–डे अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय मान्यता आधार हो । आफैंले खेलिरहेको अवस्थामा नेपालको प्रतिनिधित्व गर्दै यो मान्यता पाउनु मेरा लागि गौरवको विषय पनि हो । जतिखेर हामी क्रिकेट खेल्थ्यौं त्यतिखेर यो किसिमको चहल–पहल नै थिएन । खेल्दै जाँदा ट्वान्टी–२० विश्वकप नै खेल्यौं । त्यस्तै वान–डे अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय मान्यता पनि अर्को चरणको सपना थियो । क्रिकेट खेल्दा यो सम्भव पनि थिएन र सोचेका पनि थिएनौं । विश्व क्रिकेट लिग डिभिजन ५ मा हुँदा यो सम्भावनै थिएन । आफ्नो सानोतिनो योगदानमा नेपाल यो स्थितिमा आइपुग्दा
